We've been very busy recently, attending the Lambeth Council 'Future Brixton' Workshops; discussion groups designed to feed into the current regeneration plans.
The planners initially had the idea of knocking down the rear of the Railway Hotel (the hall) to make way for an interchange between the railway and tube stations! The current thinking, which has emerged from the workshops, is for a hybrid scheme which would allow station access and also leave the building intact. As such we are now exploring proposals that encompass the Railway Hotel and the surrounding 'Central Site'.

From 11am ABC Brixton will be at the 'Community Expo' in Tate Gardens . (download flyer here)
We'll be starting to gather ideas for uses for the Railway Hotel, so come down and draw or write anything you like.

Happy New Year to everyone in Brixton.
We're still waiting for a decision from Lambeth regarding The Railway Hotel Regeneration Proposal.
Brixton is currently undergoing a regeneration process (or 'Masterplan'), and we are waiting for the initial publication of these plans before the future of the building is decided.
The publication of the 'Future Brixton' plans have been delayed since October, but we expect to see them imminently. Watch this space!
